We Meet Thursday!

Hello Readers'!

It was just last Thursday that we had a FANTASTIC work party to get ready for our Book Fair Fundraiser coming THIS SATURDAY! Thank you Travis for providing the pictures you can see only on the blog. Check out what Chris did with his prize from the e-mail game we all played. whsreaders.blogspot.com

If you have signed up to work the fair this Saturday, check with Mrs. Stanton if you can't remember your time slot.

Yes we are having our regular meeting THIS THURSDAY RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL in the library. We will be talking about the fundraiser, drinking hot chocolate and admiring the new fiction bookshelves in the library. Have you seen them yet? We have more room for fiction! Yeah!

Oh, and for those of you who have read this entire entry, Ryan S. has provided us yet again with a truly unique secret word: chupathingy Stop by the library and tell Mrs. Dillon or Mrs. Stanton the word for this week....and win a prize.

See you Thursday!

Readers' Club Members -- Check this out!

Please encourage students whose lives have been touched by books (hopefully all of your students!) to enter the Center for the Book’s Letters About Literature contest. Not only does the contest encourage students to reflect on good literature they have read and write about it, but there are lots of prizes on the state and national level for students. In addition, if a student from your school is a winner at the national level, your library is eligible for a Reading Promotion Grant of $10,000!

Who can apply?

o Level I – Grades 4-6

o Level II – Grades 7 & 8

o Level III – Grades 9-12
